[ENGLISH SPEECH AND COMMUNICATION] "Doctors without Border" elevator speech & "Why" Story - "ADOGS"

"Why" story

ADOGS: Don't buy dogs, adopt them for free

 

ADOGS, as the name suggests, it has the meaning of adopt dogs. The organization rescues dogs from streets, puppy mills and dog meat factories. It also takes care of the and trains them to readjust to new family. Finally, the organization finds the loving, caring families for the dogs. 

 

S0000 has a dog whose name is Charles. He's breed is King Charles Spaniel and Mix. He used to have an owner before but the previous owner posted him to give away for free on carrot market. My father brought him home without discussing with mother, so they argued a lot about the dog. Now, my mother likes Charles more than any other family members. I think the previous owner was very irresponsible. Charles would have ended up being in ADOGS shelter if my father wouldn't have brought him home. I visited ADOGS temporary dog shelter to do voluntary work. There were about 50 dogs in the shelter looking forward to finding new family.

 

Y0000 also, had a dog whose name is Lupine. He's breed is Papillon. He died of kidney failure so, she also knows how it feels to have a dog and she also feels pity for abandoned dogs. So we decided to promote ADOGS.

 

ADOGS promotes people to adopt dogs, not buying one. Its policy is never mercy kill a dog which is unique and exclusive from other organization. Adopting one dog won't change the entire world, but it will definitely change the adopted dog's world.
